Coaching Requirements

Part 1: USA FOOTBALL CERTIFICATION - $15

(Anyone on the field during practice or games needs to do this)

• Go to www.usafootball.com

• Click Login and create an account, choose coach as your role, youth as your level, tackle as your type, and assistant or head coach as your coach role.

• Make sure to choose Prescott Valley Hitmen - NAYFL as your organization or you will not get credit for taking the course. When it is completed it will automatically show up on the league administrator’s database.  

• If you already have an account, make sure you are connected to Prescott Valley Hitmen - NAYFL by clicking on My Dashboard, then My Profile and looking under your roles. If it does not show up, click edit next to roles and type it in the organization box.

• Hover over development and training

• Click certification

• Scroll down until you find Youth Tackle Certification

• Click Start Course

• You have to finish all 3 portions of the course to obtain mandatory certification (this takes a couple hours but you don’t have to finish it all at once):

  • Shoulder Tackling and Blocking Skills

  • Health and Safety

  • Fundamentals of Coaching

• Email certificate to [email protected]
